The Beast Adventure Race

Irelands longest running expedition adventure race….as well as the longest.

Prepare to meet your demons. This event is designed to push each team to their limits.

The Beast is a hard one to try keep contained, it wreaked havoc across Munster from 2007 – 2015. Over the previous three years, we’ve explored spectacular parts of Ulster, from the rugged wilderness of County Donegal to the Glens of Antrim, and everything in between. The Beast is on the move again.

The team who brought you the Adventure Racing European Series (ARES) Finals in 2015 continues to search for new, challenging terrain and impressive surroundings.

NOT FOR PROFIT

The Beast Adventure Race is run entirely by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis with all proceeds going towards event running costs and further promotion of adventure racing in Ireland. The Beast Team is made up of experienced, enthusiastic volunteers who are keen to run the toughest but most rewarding adventure race in the country as well as showcasing Ireland as it has never been seen before, both to participants and to supporters on the course and online throughout the world.

LONG TERM VISION OF THE BEAST ADVENTURE RACE

  1. Host races on the European Series annually, progressing to the World Series and ultimately hosting the Adventure Racing World Series Finals
  2. Send fully funded, competitive Irish Teams to the Adventure Racing World Series Finals
  3. Continue to advertise Ireland as a unique adventure sports destination
